Donald Earl "Don" Specht

Mr. Specht was my Math Teacher when I was at Skyline High School. I was a diligent student and loved his classes. When I was a Senior, my graduating class all went to the "Boulder Rez" for "Senior Ditch Day" to ditch school. I was not ever going to ditch school. So I was there and Don was there - he wondered why I wasn't ditching and now that I look back, he surely deserved a day off from us teenagers. But he still walked me through a Math lesson and I was raptured, listening to every word. What an amazing human to still teach me even though I was the only one in class that day. The don't build 'em like they used to and Don was a gentleman and teacher to his core - and I am so grateful for it.

Don was instrumental in helping me navigate through math at Longs Peak Junior High in the late 60's- early 70's. Don was a very patient man, funny and most helpful...my deepest condolences for the family.
