Donald Gary Stacey Sr., 79 years old of Toledo, OH and Hudson, Mi passed away Thursday, October 9th, 2025, in Hillsdale Mi, under the care of hospice. He was born on September 19th, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio to Woodrow (Moon) and Lucille Stacey. He worked as a maintenance man at Franklin Park Mall for many years prior to that he was a journeyman machinist. He enjoyed collecting and helping others. He loved classic cars and watching old westerns, he enjoyed getting out to see friends both in Toledo and Hudson. Most recently he enjoyed going to the Hudson Senior Center for lunch and socializing. Don was quick with a joke and always happy to lend a hand to someone in need. He will be missed by many.
Don is survived by his children Donald Jr (Sandy) Stacey, Ronald (Neysa) Stacey, and Rick (Renee) Nickless; Grandchildren Blake (Christina) Cravatt, Skylar Stacey, Ryan Carpenter, Danielle (Matt) Higley, John Carpenter, Brittany (Jerry) Chmielewski, Ashley (JJ) Stark, Carlton (Sarah) Cordray; Great Grandchildren Cooper and Kameron Cravatt, Anthony, Leah, Emma, and Amelia Chmielewski, Colton, Adalynn, and Grayson Stark and Remmington and Esme Cordray.
He is preceded in death by both parents, and his siblings Vicki Lynn Stacey, Terry Lee Stacey, and Richard Sanborn.
A cremation will take place as Don wished. A memorial celebrating the life of Don will be held Saturday, October 25th at the Westwood Park Shelter House, 4065 Airdale Avenue, Toledo, Ohio from Noon until 3pm.
