Obituary
Donald Stephens was born December 19, 1956. He was the third child of nine children to the parents of Rayfield Sr. and Barbara Stephens. He departed this life and went on to his heavenly home on July 22, 2023. He attended Vocational Trades of Alamance and Caswell County. His later years he worked at SCI until they closed. Donald loved watching car shows, wrestling, cooking shows, and western movies.
At an early age he developed Spinal Meningitis and had some difficulties in life such as being deaf and having a speech impediment but learned to cope with it and move through life. He learned how to operate with his condition from the School of The Deaf in Wilson, NC.
He was born to Rayfield Stephens Sr. and Barbara Jones Stephens. He leaves behind his sisters, Gertrude "Sissy" Corbett (Joe) of Burlington, NC, Rev Pamler Pope-Plummer of Bronx, New York, Catherine Daye (Raymond) of Burlington, NC, Debra Alexander (Ricky) of Burlington, NC; brothers, Ronny Stephens (Andrita) of Jacksonville, FL, Rayfield Stephens Jr. (Vanessa) of Haw River, NC along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

We want to thank the doctors and nurses at Duke Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C. and Premier Care Givers for their excellent work in helping with the care of our brother. We would also like to extend honorable mentions to Bianca Webb and Tracy Haith.
