Donald James Stone, the youngest son of the late Dorothy E. Stone, was born on October 12, 1961 and was of the Methodist faith. Don was a member of the 1979 class of Booker T. Washington High School. He furthered his education, attending Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 1983, Don enlisted in the United States Air Force where he traveled the world, serving five years and five months after which he received an honorable discharge in 1988. In 1991, Don joined the Bossier City Fire Department where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 2019. In 1992, Don married Rita Davis with whom he shared two sons.
