Donald Struensee, age 44 of Granton, WI died Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at the Wausau Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI.
Donald Larry Struensee was born on August 10, 1964 in Neillsville, WI the son of Dale and Barbara (Krosonski) Struensee. He attended Neillsville Public Schools. Later Don moved to Colorado Springs, CO to work. He also owned and operated Struensee Trucking in Colorado for seven years. On May 30, 2007 he moved back to Neillsville and began working for Tesmer Construction, where he was currently employed.
Don’s hobby was work,“rotating the dirt”, and he never stopped working. He was the type of person that was always there for everyone, and he would do anything for anyone.
He is survived by his children, Donald Struensee Jr. of Granton and Donelle Nicole Struensee of Harrison, AR, his significant other, Faye Klein of Granton and her children, Dana, Dawn, Deann and Devin Klein. Don is also survived by his father, Dale Struensee of Neillsville, two brothers, Duane Struensee and Daniel Struensee both of Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters, Sandy High of Oregon and Sarah Struensee of Neillsville, WI, nieces and nephews, especially Chad and Sam, all of his friends at Tesmer Construction and many other family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral Services for Donald Struensee will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 13, 2009 at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor John Trewyn will officiate. Interment will be in the Dells Dam Cemetery in Neillsville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday at the Gesche Funeral Home.
Casket Bearers are: Eric Backaus, Phillip “Sparky” Backaus, Ryan “Chito” Murphy, Rick Oldham, Mike Struensee and Jeff Young.
The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Don’s family with Funeral arrangements.
