Donald Tillett Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Williams Funeral Directors - Garland on Dec. 26, 2025.
Donald Lee Tillett, age 73, passed away on December 24, 2025. He was born on June 11, 1952, to Raymond and Audrey Tillett.

Don is survived by his wife, Lupe Tillett; his son, Danny Tillett and wife, Cortney; his daughter, Shantele Weatherby and husband, Scott; his four grandchildren, Bryce, Garrett, Makenna, and Morgan; 14 step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Linda Sunday; his sister, Mary Moll and husband, John; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Audrey Tillett; his two stepchildren, Esther Sevilla and Ricky Garcia; and his best friend, Randy Cummings.

Don didn't ask for much out of life. He was happy with the simple things. What mattered most to him were people. He had a kind heart, wanted the best for others, and met everyone without judgment. His smile could light up a room, and his little jokes brought joy to those around him.

He had a strong work ethic and worked hard every day. Don didn't miss work, put in hours of overtime, took pride in what he did, and never sought praise. He simply did what needed to be done.

One of the biggest parts of his life was baseball. In his younger years, after long days at work, Don spent many years coaching and pouring himself into the lives of young players. He taught them the game, but also the values of respect, hard work, and teamwork. While players may not remember every win or loss, they will always remember him.

Don's legacy isn't in things, but in the lives touched, the lessons taught, and the love he gave. The values he lived by-especially his work ethic-live on through his children and family. He will be deeply missed, never forgotten, and we are all better because of him.
