Donald “Don” Albert Voermans, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, surrounded by family.

A devoted son, brother and friend, Don was known for his generosity and sense of humor. Born in Wausau, Wisconsin, he was a craft woodworker and took great pride in creating things built to last.

He loved spending time with family, particularly his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, hockey, the Green Bay Packers and retelling stories of his past. His care and loyalty touched everyone who knew him.

Don is preceded in death by parents, Donald and Rita Voermans; and survived by brothers, Jeffrey (Ann) Voermans and Gerald (Beth) Voermans; four nieces and nephews, and six grand nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at St Michael Catholic Church, Wausau, WI on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 9:30 am. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be held at 10:30 am, followed by a luncheon in the parish hall. Burial at St Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Harrison, Wisconsin will follow immediately after the luncheon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homestead Health Services, 1712 Monroe Street, New Holstein, Wisconsin 53061.
