Donald (Don) Waller passed away in the early morning hours of August 2, 2025, with his wife by his side. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina to Kathryn (Wolz) and Forrest Waller on April 11, 1938. At an early age, his family moved to Ponca City where he attended McCord Elementary and then East Junior High. He graduated from Ponca City Senior High School with the class of 1956. After graduation, he began working for the Coca-Cola plant in Ponca City where he worked for several years. In the early 1970’s, he moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado and worked for G&K Services for over 30 years until his retirement in 2003.
Don married Lahoma Green Robison in 1999. In 2005, they moved back to Ponca City from Colorado Springs. In his retirement years, he began working for Heather Cannon Honda where he worked as a driver for several years until his health began to decline.
Don enjoyed elk hunting, camping and driving his Jeep in the Colorado mountains. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially during the holidays. His fur baby, Abbie, was a constant source of joy and entertainment during the last year of his life.
Don is survived by his wife, Lahoma, of the home; daughter, Crista (Robison) Billings, and husband, Marc, of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Shelley Waller; son, Mike Waller; sister, Kay Wells, of Ponca City; brother, Fred Waller, of Ponca City; and brother, Keith Waller, and wife, Jeri, of Ponca City. The apple of his eye was his precious granddaughter, Catherine (Cate) Billings of Albuquerque, NM.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gregg Waller; his brothers, Jim, Kenny and Raymond Waller. A viewing will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM. Graveside services will be at IOOF Cemetery on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 11 AM.
