Donald Frederick Waller, Sr., died peacefully on November 7, 2025 at the Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine, Fl. formally from Massapequa, Long Island, surrounded by his family.
He was pre-deceased by his son, Kevin Michael Waller, grandson, Dylan Waller, his mother and father, his brother Leon Waller and sister, Allison Waller, his father and mother-in-law, Percy and Genevieve Harris. He leaves his wife, Arline of 73 years, sons, Donald. (Kathy) Waller Jr., John E. Waller, David C. (Sheryl) Waller. grandchildren: Donald (Heather) Waller III. Katie (Christopher) Wilson, Joseph Waller, Marissa (Vincent) Georgetti and Valentina Waller. He also leaves eight great-grandchildren: Zane Wilson, DJ IV, Grace, David, Clay & Glory Waller, Leo and Jax Georgetti.
Don was a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkston University and received a Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics from Adelphi University. He was a First Lieutenant in the Army Corp of Engineers. He was stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict.
Upon return from Germany, he became the head of the Simulation Lab at Grumman Acrospace Bethpage. Long Island. He worked until his retirement in 1990.
Don was an avid golfer, played bridge and other card games with family and friends. He spent many summers with his wife and children on their boat at the Great South Bay and Zachs Bay. Don and his sons played golf at Bethpage golf course as well as Pine Hills in Manorville, Long Island. He and his wife. Arline, moved to Manorville, NY where he worked as a starter at the Pine Hills golf course.
