Don's educational journey took him from West Jefferson High School to Western Kentucky University, where he showcased his athletic prowess by playing football at both schools. His love for sports extended beyond his own playing days, as he thoroughly enjoyed rooting for teams, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes. In the summer and fall, Don would be found on the golf course, especially playing at Blues Creek.
In his professional life, Don owned and operated Wester Construction, a venture that reflected his strong work ethic and commitment to quality. He was a jokester, known for his caring and kind-hearted nature, always ready with a laugh and a supportive word for those around him.
Don was deeply involved in his community, being a valued member of The Church Next Door. He proudly served as an usher and taught Sunday school, where his emotional intelligence and kindness shone brightly through his interactions with others.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Frances Wester; his two daughters, Taylor (Sean) Delaney and Madison Wester; and his brothers, Eric (Paula), Dave (Marcia), and Bob (Kara) Wester, along with numerous nieces. Don cherished his role as a father, finding pride in raising two beautiful daughters who were undoubtedly among his proudest accomplishments.
Don is lovingly remembered for his vibrant personality, his unwavering support for his loved ones, and his ability to bring joy to every gathering. He joins his late father, Franklin Wester, in eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be missed by all who knew him.
