Donald “Donnie” Page Williams, age 62 of Matoaca, Virginia, died on Thursday, March 14, 2024 in CJW Johnston Willis Medical Center. Born March 31, 1961, he was the son of the late Richard Page William and Doris Lipford Ragsdale, and was also preceded in death by his son, Dale Lee Williams; and his sister, Melody Lane Williams.
After dedicating many years to his career, Donnie retired from Kaiser Aluminum. This new phase of his life gave him the freedom to spend more time in the great outdoors. Whether it was the quiet solitude of a fishing trip or the excitement of hunting, Donnie found joy in these activities. He often shared these experiences with his beloved wife, Beverly, as they traveled together to explore new and beautiful locations. Their travels took them to a variety of places, allowing them to create lasting memories.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Williams; two sons, Donald Williams, Jr. (Christina) and Richard Williams (Seanna); daughter, Shannon Williams; three stepchildren, Lisa Webster (Shaun), Angela Kennedy (Bobby) and Chris Barfield; fifteen grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Newcomb and Nancy Rose (Joe); two brothers, Mike Williams (Carol) and David Ragsdale; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the dedicated staff members from CJW Johnston Willis Medical Center and first responders, as well as the Rainey Day Hunt Club, Mike and Carol for all their love and support, and to Advantage Skilled Home Health for all their care at the residence.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024 in the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Home & Crematory, 2033 Boulevard. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. Condolences may be registered at www.ealvinsmall.com.
