Donald Blair Wylie III

Donald Blair Wylie III was born November 24, 1972 in Macomb County, Michigan to Don and Diane Wylie. Don departed this life on March 03, 2023.
Don was a loving husband and father that was actively involved with his children's lives. He had volunteered at Centre Ice for various levels since 2007. Everything from an off ice official working the penalty box to working the score box as his children were involved in hockey. He was thrilled this past year when he had an opportunity to timekeep for the local high school games. Some of his best memories were with his family at the local ice arenas and dancing in the box. Whether he was celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, or cheering his children on. Don was happy at the rink. Don also found great joy in watching Karma on stage for theater. He never missed an opportunity to let everyone know what great comedic timing Karma has. Don enjoyed seeing how Tanner advanced from playing hockey games to officiating games. He always encouraged Colleen in her passion for being creative and crafting. Don was always making everyone else smile and brighten their day.
Don is survived by his wife Colleen (Connolly) and children Tanner (18) and Karma (17). He is also survived by parents, Diane Lee Shankle and Donald Blair Wylie Jr as well as his brother Dan.
Don passed away in the presence of his loving wife and children after a short battle with B-ALL: B-CELL Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
A celebration of Don's life will be held on March 18, 2023 at 11:00am to 2:00pm at Centre Ice Arena at 1600 Chartwell Drive Traverse City, MI 49696. Open skating and sticks -n- pucks will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following places: Center Ice Arena for providing the space for the celebration of life, American Cancer Society, Blood Cancer Foundation of Michigan, and American Heart Association.
