Dr. Zacharias was a friend and colleague of my father Dr. F. D. Williams (Sr.) at UT Austin 1969. As newcomers to Austin TX, Mrs. Zacharias helped us get settled, we didn't have a car yet (my father was still using it while finishing up a summer job at UW Madison WI - until he moved to Austin late 1969 to start work at the U. Texas Speech Communications Center. They are a great family - I actually baby sat a couple of times for them - when they got stuck for a sitter. He, Bob Jeffries, R. Byrnes, and a few others were a great team at UT. Greetings from San Mateo, CA! Dr. Byrnes went with my Dad to USC (Annenberg School of Communications) in 1973. I'm a little late to the party on this page - I was looking around for former co-workers of my (late) Father. Dr. Zacharias has a great sense of humor, as did his wife Tommie - they were especially gracious to us "kids" back in the day.. God Bless them.
They are still amazing!

Dr. Zacharias taught my public speaking class during my first semester at State. It was through his encouragement and guidance that I decided to major in communication and pursue a career in public relations and broadcasting.

I will forever be grateful to him for his words of encouragement and support. He was such a gentleman.

May the love of Christ comfort the Zacharias family and all those who were touched by Dr. Zacharias's commitment and generosity at State.

I spoke with Dr. Zacharias several times, when he visited our Rotary Club in Senatobia. He was one of the most gentle-hearted but firmly committed men I have met. He truly cared about the students at MSU. Men with his character are priceless. May the Lord bless and comfort his family and friends.
