Donato "Danny" Nicolucci

On January 23, 2026, of Glassboro. Age 66. Beloved husband of Andrea (nee Ghiretti). Devoted father of Erica and Donato "Danny" Louis Nicolucci. Cherished son on the late Donato and Elmara (nee Walker). Also survived by other family members and friends.

Dan" or "Danny" as he was known best, was born and lived most of his life as a resident of South Philadelphia. He enjoyed many years there as part of a tightly knit community, surrounded by family, and friends. He enjoyed seeing members of his community at local businesses. As a young man he was actively involved in many local sports teams and the South Philly Community Center. As a young athlete some of his best experiences were in his position as a catcher and on the football field.

His love of the Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Phillies and Eagles, was a constant. Win or loose, he looked forward to the games and followed the teams, cheering through the victories and shaking his head through the losses.

Professionally, he was very proud of his work building and modifying US Navy Ships at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard. However, the family he built with his wife, Andrea, was undoubtedly the most cherished part of his life. He was a loving husband and a supportive father whether helping with school projects or being involved with his children's personal endeavors.

Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed fishing, golfing, horseback riding, and singing. Danny could carry a tune and made his family laugh and smile while doing so. He enjoyed cooking with his wife and possessed a love of animals that he passed to his children. He was especially bonded to his family dogs and enjoyed spending time playing with them as part of the joy he experienced when he made a shift to suburban life and moved to New Jersey.

Danny had a deep love of the Lord and his faith was important to him. He valued spending time with his family and friends especially over good food-the perfect pair for him. Danny was outgoing, passionate, genuine and always had spirited interactions with those around him. He was a hard worker and an intelligent man that was very loved and will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation Saturday 10:15 AM – 12:00 PM at SS. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, 362 Ganttown Rd., Washington Twp. Mass of Christian Burial 12:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Donato's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
