Donita R. Slininger, 61, of Milan, passed away October 22, 2025, at Celebrate of Moline.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and a visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday October 26, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Private burial of cremains will be held at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family.
Donita was born on August 6, 1964, in Moline, the daughter of Donald L. and Dorothy J. (Martin) Slininger. Donita graduated from Moline Senior High School in 1983 and worked in retail most of her life, including at Rhythm City Casino, Dollar General as well as various gas stations in the Quad Cities area. She married Robert Stout in 1995 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. She later married Dale Wine in 2003 in Davenport. Donita married Jerry Belt in 2011 in Milan, and they later divorced.
Donita loved going to the Quad City Storm hockey games and attending the Mississippi Valley Fair with her best friend Wanda. She loved listening to country music and loved her dogs and cats. She enjoyed cooking and having her friends over. Donita enjoyed all kinds of crafts including cross stitch, diamond art, crocheting and making cards. Her favorite NASCAR driver was Dale Earnhardt Jr. and she went to races in Chicago and Arizona.
Survivors include her stepmother, Lovena Slininger, Moline; brother, Dion (Darlene) Slininger, Davenport; step-siblings, Ragina Smith, Moline, Kelli (Jason) Ryband, Gobles, Michigan, Anthony (Kindra) Slininger, Clinton, IA, Daniel (Carmen Verdon) Slininger, Coal Valley; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
