Donna M. Bevard

Donna M. Bevard, 98, of Hillsdale, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at Hillsdale County Medical Care Facility. She was born October 25, 1927, in Newberry, MI to Louis and Emma (McClain) Roberts. She married Lyle Bevard on April 22, 1949, and he preceded her in death on August 30, 1970.
Donna graduated from Grand Marais High School in the Upper Peninsula. She was a longtime social worker at the Cooperative Extension Agency in Hillsdale. Along with her social work, Donna was well known for her work cleaning homes in the Hillsdale area. She took great pride in her work and often referred to herself as a "Domestic Engineer."
Donna was a devoted attendee of the Gospel Barn concerts throughout her life. She was also a member of the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church where she served on the hospitality committee for many years.
Survivors include three children, Sidney Bevard of Hillsdale, Kim (Judy) Bevard of Quincy and Debbie Bevard of Hillsdale; grandchildren, Allie (Abby) Bevard, Corey (Jenny) Bevard, Nathan Bevard and Gary Daniels; great-grandchildren, Alexis (Adam) Heibel, Mason and Madison Bevard, and Zachary Bevard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle; sisters, Joanne Pugh and Marion Carver; and brothers, William, Theodore, Louis, Daniel and Edwards Roberts.
Funeral services for Donna Bevard will be held Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church with Pastors David Turner and Keith Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Hillsdale. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
