Donna Nadine Brown, 81, of Anderson, Indiana was surrounded by her family as she left her temporary home and arrived at her forever home on October 13, 2024. She was born October 27, 1942 in Alexandria, Indiana.
Donna was very active with her children as they grew and served as the Parents Club President, Brownie & Girl Scout leader. She was very involved in all the activities they were involved in. She had a niche for plants and landscaping. Donna always knew where to put the plant for the right temperature and sunlight. She knew the best colors to coordinate the perfect yard with her plants and always had a vision of where and how she wanted them to look, and her loving husband of 60 years would make it happen.
She loved books and was an avid reader and had mastered the art of speed reading at an early age. She worked for the Anderson Public Library for several years until her retirement. Donna loved her job and was able to enjoy one of her favorite pass times. Her favorite gift was giving her grandchildren books for their special days. She would always put their name in it and sign it from her and grandpa. Our families will cherish them as we read them to our grandchildren.
Donna leaves behind her spouse, Robert C. Brown; four daughters, Deborah (Tim) Dunham of Chesterfield, Cynthia (Matthew) Kramer of Bristol, Indiana, Robin (Steve) Chambers of Neenah, Wisconsin, Pamela (Ronald) Taylor of Pendleton; & one son, Robert (Stacey) Brown Jr., of Anderson; fourteen grandchildren, Shelley Dunham (Gabe Bailey), Sarah (Kevin) Young, Ronald (Katherine) Preston, Kelsey (Samuel) Gipson, Christopher (Amanda) Chambers, Abigail Chambers, Nicholas Chambers, Zachary Smith (Katyn Piguet), Jordan Smith, Brandon (Shelbie) Taylor, Kylie (Joey) Iodice, Caleb (Emily) Brown, David (Gabrielle) Keller, & Brandon (Kaylee) Kramer; sister, Jamie (Larry) Clem; Great-grandchildren, Alli, Jackson, Connor, Josephine, Hudson, Carsen, Allee, Cooper, Alistair, Astrid, Alexander, Rosemary, Natalie, Peter, Zoey, Claire & Carson; Special friend, Ron Dick; and her beloved cat, Calli.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hildreth Belle Crouch; father, Merle Brattain; Grandaughter, Emily Renae Chambers; & brothers, Larry, Charles & Ricky Brattain.
