Donna Brown Obituary

Donna Rae Brown

September 22, 1935 - October 27, 2025

BURLEY – Donna Rae Brown, a 90-year-old resident of Burley, passed away at her home on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Donna was born on September 22, 1935, in Prue, Oklahoma, the middle child born to John Riley Hudspeth and Grace Raye (Ramsey) Hudspeth. She graduated from Osage High School in 1953, then attended business college in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Donna married Paul Leonard Brown on December 26, 1956. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses; she also built the Wash Tub Laundromat with her husband, Paul, and worked beside Paul remodeling homes and building new houses.

Donna loved watching her children in sports and other activities, spending time with friends over coffee or at church, and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; and her two children, Paul Douglas Brown and Penny Lynn Brown Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and both siblings, Billy John Hudspeth, and Georgia Carol Salinas.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 3rd, at First Baptist Church – Chapel, located at 2262 Hiland Ave., in Burley, with Dr. H. Eugene Soulsby officiating. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be at Paul Cemetery.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Burley in Donna's name.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home of Burley.

Having known this sweet Lady, thru her daughter, Penny. Great support in all the sports. She is now the true angel, that I have always known her to be, 51 years worth.
