Mt. Pleasant - Mrs. Donna Riffe Brown, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on August 4, 1947, in Monroe, NC, Donna was the beloved wife of the late John G. "Jerry" Brown. Together, they shared a life rooted in family and mutual devotion.

Donna spent her working life in banking and real estate, first with Bankers Trust and then spending many years as a Realtor with Prudential Carolina/Carolina One Real Estate. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and neighbors in the cherished Hobcaw community and with all of her friends that she made throughout her life. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, John G. "Jay" Brown II, and his wife, Margaret Bryant Brown; her grandchildren, Anna Berkley Brown and John G. "Jack" Brown III who affectionally called her Mimi; her step-grandchildren, John Clark Bryant and Mary Ella Bryant; her brother, Donald James "Jimmy" Riffe, Jr., and his wife, Kim; her brothers-in-law, Wendell Orvin Brown and his wife, Erma Jean, Steve Earnest Brown, and Don Henry Brown and his wife Joan, and many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Madge Gay and Donald J. Riffe, and her sister, Sandra Leigh Riffe.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Mount Pleasant Presbyterian Church, 302 Hibben Street Mt. Pleasant, SC. The family will receive visitors at the home of Don & Joan Brown, 107 Hibben Street immediately following the service.

May Donna's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing.
