Donna Burbank, 66 of Woodland, GA passed peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at her home with her family at her side.
Mrs. Burbank was born November 1, 1959, in Sayre, PA. She was certified nursing assistant at the Warm Springs Roosevelt Institute for Rehabilitation and was a private caregiver for many years. Throughout her time working, she had the privilege of working with many people who became like family to her.. She enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing. Her favorite things were the beach, coffee, her dogs and shopping. She was preceded in death by her mother Etta Vandyke, and son Lance Gesford.
She is survived by her husband Robert Burbank, Jr. of Woodland, GA, children Maria (Chris) Carpenter of Manchester, GA, Darrick Holton of Scranton, PA, Max (Morgan) Gesford of Waverly, NY and Dale (Jessica) Gesford, of Waverly, NY, brothers Travis (Kim) Vandyke, Rick (Ruth) Vandyke all of Pennsylvania and Ray (Tina) Vandyke of Georgia, nieces and nephews and close friends including Cheryl Gray and Donna (Mark) Loftin. Donna held love in her heart for many people, but the light of her world was her 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 1:30 PM until 4:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the Manchester First Assembly of God, 1218 Chalybeate Springs Road, Manchester, GA 31816. Speaking on behalf of the family will be Mike Lovvorn and Richard Wynn.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Donna Burbank to the American Cancer Society, City of Hope, Columbus Hospice, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The family requests that you please sign the online registry and leave condolences on the tribute wall page.
Cox Funeral Home in Manchester, GA will be assisting with the arrangements.
