Donna Byrd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Care Cremation & Funeral Service - Eastland Drive on Mar. 10, 2026.
It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Faye Byrd, 65, announces her passing into glory on March 5, 2026.

Donna was a loving and generous person who always placed the good of others above her own needs. She spent more than thirty years working in sales, most recently helping families protect their futures through her work in life insurance. Donna had a natural warmth that drew people to her, and she built many lasting friendships throughout her life.

She found joy in life's simple and creative pleasures. Donna loved music and had a beautiful singing voice that those closest to her will always remember. She also enjoyed reading, painting, and working on home improvement projects, always looking for ways to make a house feel more like a home.

Donna is survived by her sisters, Ann Pearson and Susan Parker; her daughter, Desiree Byrd; her son, Phillip Byrd; her son in law Javan Walker; and her beloved grandchildren, Dominic and Niah, who brought great joy to her life. She had many nieces and nephews she loved with her whole heart. As well as cousins and other family that she adored.

She was preceded into death by her husband, Moses Byrd. Her father Harvey Reed and her mother Inez Reed. Her brothers and two sisters.

Donna touched many lives with her kindness, generosity, and bright smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

1 Thessalonians 4:14 (NIV)

"For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."
