Donna M. Capps

Donna M. Capps, 59, of Elsberry, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 at her residence. She was born on August 18, 1966, to Robert and Anne (Thurmond) Junge. Donna grew up in Olney, MO with her eleven siblings and knew what sharing and thinking of others meant. For her first eight years of school, she attended St. Alphonsus School in Millwood and then attended school in Silex.

At the age of 17 she was joined in Holy Matrimony on March 10, 1984 in Elsberry to her soulmate, Thomas Capps. To this union were born three children: Donielle, Devinne and Thomas. The family lived in Elsberry and Donna was a loving wife and mother to her family. She was an "awesome" cook, and the family especially loved her crispy fried chicken. Donna was also a very talented artist and enjoyed working with oil paints, working with arts/craft projects, and making the best snacks. Anybody she came in contact with she would engage them in conversation and always leave with a hug. Donna was a special lady who was a "people person". She will be greatly missed and long remembered by all those who knew and loved her.

Surviving are her devoted husband of 41 years, 9 months and 8 days, Thomas Capps; her loving children: Donielle Bueneman of Elsberry, Devinne Gardner of St. Charles, Thomas Capps of Troy; her 10 grandchildren; and her 11 siblings; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
