Donna F. Carroll

Donna F. Carroll, 84, of Houston, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, in her home. She was born December 24, 1940 in Meadow Lands, a daughter of the late Paul Cheslock and Margaret Dragan Cheslock Bodnar. Donna was a 1958 graduate of Chartiers-Hous- ton High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Westminster College in 1962. Mrs. Carroll started her teaching career in 1962 for the Trinity School District, retiring as business teacher in 2002. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church of St. Oscar Romero Parish in Meadow Lands. Donna was a member of the Washington Country Club, where she enjoyed time around the pool and socializing with friends. Her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed the time spent with her children and grandchildren and following all of their activities and sporting events. On August 4, 1962, she married James M. Carroll who died May 24, 2024. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Ann James (C.R. Piatt) of Canonsburg; a son, James R. Carroll (Emily) of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Erin James, Ryan James, Anthony James Carroll (Deven), Ian Carroll, Tyler Carroll and Nathan Carroll; a sister, Ruth Plunkett (Bill) of Houston; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, her step-father, Anthony Bodnar is deceased. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, St. Oscar Romero Parish, 300 Pike St., Meadow Lands, PA 15347. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, Owner/Supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342 In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Chartiers-Houston Community Library, 730 W.
