Donna Mae Feigum
May 4, 1949 – January 30, 2025
Donna Mae Feigum, 75, passed away peacefully at home on January 30, 2025. She was the daughter of Jacob and Viola (Borchert) Schledewitz, was born on May 4, 1949, in Hutchinson, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. She attended public school in Stewart, Minnesota and college at the University of Minnesota, Morris, Minnesota. Donna graduated in 1972 with degrees in elementary education and studio art.
On June 21, 1970, Donna was united in marriage to Marvin Edward Feigum at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stewart, Minnesota. Donna and Marv lived in the Minneapolis area from 1972-1975 where she worked in various school districts substituting. In 1975 they moved to Stewart where she taught 6 grade. Their son, Chad was born in 1977, in Glencoe, Minnesota. In 1978 they moved to Glenwood, Minnesota and took over farming with N. Marvin Feigum, her father-in-law. Donna continued to substitute in area school districts until 1986 when she started her own cleaning service until 2018. She has been retired ever since, while battling cancer.
Donna was an active member of Barsness Lutheran Church since 1978 where she taught Sunday school and was the superintendent for 18 years. She was a member of the church council for many years. Donna enjoyed teaching her granddaughter to bake and sew. She spent 30+ years selling her donuts and jams at local farmers' markets near Glenwood. Donna enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, creating artwork, working on puzzles, and helping others in the community. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, family, and friends. Donna was "born to eternal life" on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Donna is survived by her son, Chad Feigum of Glenwood; granddaughter, Emma Feigum; sister, DeAnna (Donald) Swenson of Marana, Arizona; brother, Jacob H. Schledewitz of Mission, Texas; nephew Brad Swenson of Phoenix, Arizona; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents in 1987 and her husband in 2010.
Services will be at Barsness Lutheran Church, 23208 225 Avenue, Glenwood, MN 56334, (320) 634-3803, on February 22 at 1:00 pm with a short visitation beforehand from 12-1:00pm.

Going to miss my friend and at Farmer´s Market .Her and I spent time together at the Oncology Clinic in Alexandria. Such a sweet lady and friend.
