Donna Jean (Lane) Frapp, 86, of Oblong, IL passed away on Monday October 24, 2022, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.
She was born in Havana, Illinois on October 26, 1935, to Norman H. and Rosalie (Rice) Lane. On November 12, 1953, she married Norman Abner Frapp, who survives.
Donna worked for the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for many years and at the Knights of Columbus Restaurant in Joliet, Illinois. She was a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church and a graduate of the Joliet Central High School class of 1953. Donna enjoyed playing Kismet (like Yatzee), cooking, baking banana bread, making Jello jigglers, watching bluegrass shows and westerns on T.V., going fishing, dancing, and watching Indianapolis COLTS football games.
Donna loved to dance. Her husband Norman played the guitar at many venues and Donna would dance with all her friends. Her love for dancing continued throughout her life. In the years when they were not able to go out, Donna would continue to dance at home while watching her favorite bluegrass shows on Saturday nights.
Donna (Granny, as she was referred to by all her grandchildren) loved her family deeply. She was always eager to show support for family members any way possible. She loved calling and Facetiming with family and friends. She loved visiting with her children and grandchildren whenever she could, and never turned down an opportunity to spend time with family.
She is survived by her husband Norman A. Frapp, Oblong, IL, three daughters Linda Walton, Calhoun, GA, Brenda Keller, Goodlettsville, TN and Norma Lewis, Rantoul, IL; a son and daughter-in-law Timothy and Angela Frapp, Robinson, IL; grandchildren Leigh Walton, Randy Crump, Matthew and Vivian Barche, Donyl Lewis, Katrina Lewis, Donald Lewis Jr., Jordan Frapp and Cassidy and Logan Phillippe; eleven great- grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Darlene and Donald Reiss, Ashton, IL along with several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Douglas Horton.
