Donna Marie Gappa

Donna Marie (Willauer) Gappa, 82, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on February 28, 2026. Born in Phoenixville on December 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Edgar L. Willauer and Anne T. (Dellaquila) Willauer.

Donna graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School in 1961 and went on to attend Pierce Business School. After completing her studies, she worked for Keystone Drawn Steel Company. Donna then began raising her family and later returned to the workforce as a tax clerk with Berkheimer Associates, where she worked for more than 35 years. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Phoenixville and was also a member of the Ladies' Auxiliary.

Donna found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading, shopping, playing bingo, and going out to eat. Summer vacations were especially meaningful to her. Growing up, she cherished trips to the Jersey Shore, and in more recent years, she enjoyed relaxing beach days in Ocean City, Maryland. She had an adventurous spirit and was always ready to go along for the ride, especially when it meant spending time with those she loved.

Above all, Donna's family was her greatest treasure. She was a proud and devoted mom to her daughters and a loving Nona to her grandchildren. Being with them brought her the greatest happiness and filled her life with love and laughter.

Donna is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Anissa Yergey and Alicia Nicoline; her grandchildren, Seth, Sara, Cameron, and Carmen; her brother and sister-in-law, Edgar M. and Karen Willauer; and her niece and nephew, Allyson (Matthew) Hanauer and Mark (Kim) Willauer. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in the Gathering Center of Saint Aloysius Church, 223 Beech Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. A Memorial Mass celebrating Donna's life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private and held at the family's convenience.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association.
