Donna Grimaldi

Donna (Rano) Orciani Grimaldi, 73, of Worcester, MA passed away March 1, 2023, after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of Albert Grimaldi and loving mother of John Orciani Jr. and wife Tracy and Nathaniel Orciani and wife Danielle Murphy, cherished grandmother of Sarah Shugrue, Jess Shugrue, Cason Orciani and Rylen Orciani. She also leaves her stepchildren, Christine McAlliffe, Anna Grimaldi, Frank Grimaldi and Albert Grimaldi, Jr. and siblings Gayle King and husband Daniel, Paula Riordan and husband George, Cindy Kelley, Albert Rano, Jr. and wife Bonifacia, and Marie Vizzo and husband John. She also leaves several beloved nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Claire (Hill) Rano as well as her first husband, John J. Orciani Sr.
Donna started her career off as a hairdresser doing that for several years, then moved into the food industry as a cook, having worked in several long term care facilities in the Worcester area, as well as being the owner of J & D restaurant and catering with her first husband John. She was also a member of the Red Hats of West Boylston as well as the Women's Club of West Boylston. She loved going on cruises and traveling and enjoyed visiting any beach or relaxing by the pool. Most of all, Donna loved her family and especially found joy in being a grandmother.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St, Worcester. A prayer service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
