Donna Deloach Hart, 71, of Homerville passed away early Friday morning, September 27, 2024. She was born in Homerville to the late Daniel James and Gladys Rewis Deloach. Mrs. Hart grew up in Echols County and was a 1971 graduate of Echols County High School, where she was the Star Student and Valedictorian. She was also a graduate of Valdosta State College with an Education degree. Mrs. Hart was an educator for over thirty years and spent the majority of her career teaching 7th grade in the Clinch County School system. Mrs. Hart briefly returned to teaching during the 2021 and 2022 school years, where she developed a passion for working with special needs children.

Mrs. Hart was a member of First Baptist Church, Homerville, where she taught Sunday School and served as Vacation Bible School Director for many years. She was an active member of the Clinch County Retired Educators’ Association and served as President for two years. Mrs. Hart was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and served as President of the honorary teachers’ society for one term. Mrs. Hart was known for her beautiful smile and loving heart. Her most cherished accomplishment, however, was her children.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 52 years, Jack Hart of Homerville; four children, Jake Hart (wife Angie) of York, PA, Jarred Hart of Valdosta, Janna Hart of Homerville, and Jennifer Hart of Tifton; seven grandchildren, Emma Kate Hart, Jackson Hart, Andrew Hart, Gabbie Hart, Michael Hart (Mary Cassotta Hart, children’s mother), Kolby Lee, and Kaitie Lee; two great-grandchildren, Kameron and Kayne; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Austin Deloach (wife Gail) of Homerville, and Ashley Deloach (wife Fadwa) of Statenville; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and her Tuesday morning friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday morning, October 5, 2024, at 10 am at First Baptist Church of Homerville with Rev. Paul Fulton, Rev. Austin Deloach, and Dr. Alton Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County.
