Obituary
Donna Mae Caudle Isaacs returned to her father in heaven in the evening on November 27th at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She passed peacefully with family members around her. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Donna was born September 2nd 1934, the first born child of Carl and Violet Caudle. She would be followed by a brother Ken and a little sister Renee. There was 8 years between her and her little sister. While Ken enjoyed pounding nails into everything he could find, Donna delighted in putting finger ringlets in her little sister's hair. A baby boy was to follow but the birth was difficult and he passed away. Her mother was gravely ill and nearly died. This left Donna heartbroken as she couldn't understand why the baby died and what happened to him. This experience stayed with her and she finally found peace when she studied and understood God's plan. She remained a very faithful person.
Some of Donna's fondest memories were from her times in Island Park. She and her brother Kenny pealed many a log for her Dad and Grandfather Cyrus Andrews as they built Andrews Cottages. An office and 13 cabins they rented to guests. Donna also helped clean the cabins after guests vacated.
Donna met John Tyler (Jack) Isaacs in Island Park at a dance and they married on December 12th 1953. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS temple. To this union 5 children were born. Kim, Chris, Karen, Kirk and Kelli. Together they lived a very interesting life. Jack enjoyed working and living in the outdoors, away from the hustle and bustle of towns. The family moved often and worked very hard as a family to make a living. Some occupations and experiences included mining, ranching, logging and farming. Wherever they were living, whether in a house, apartment, or even a tent, Donna always made it feel like home.
Jack converted an old panel truck into a makeshift camper adding bunk beds. Donna always carried a large metal wash tub and tortured her young children by insisting they had to bathe and even curling her daughters' hair.
Donna was a grandmother and great grandmother. She delighted in all her family, visiting and sharing varied experiences with all of them.
Donna had many interests including camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She previously worked as a bookkeeper and was excellent at record keeping. Along with her eldest daughter Kim she was an avid genealogist.
After Jack passed away Donna spent her remaining years in the company and care of her youngest daughter Kelli. Donna always had a positive attitude and was a very sweet and caring soul. We as a family are very grateful to Kelli for her excellent care and devotion to our Momma, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Our souls will forever be imprinted by her life and she lives on in all of our hearts and fondest memories. Donna is very loved and will be sincerely missed.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, mother, father, two brothers and little sister. Also her husband's mother, father and all his siblings as well.
Donna is survived by her children Kim (Klar) Werth, Chris (Holly) Isaacs, Karen (Haven) Werth, Kirk ( Anita) Isaacs and Kelli Isaacs. She is the grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Groveland Cemetery, under direction of Hawker Funeral Home.
