Donna M. James, 72 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at River Hills Church in South Sioux City.
Donna was born the daughter of Charles Brown and Barbara Beeman (James) on November 6, 1951 in Troy, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Troy High School. Donna married John W. James on November 5, 2005 at River Hills Church in South Sioux City. They had made their home in Sioux City for the last 30 years. Donna worked for Mid-Step Services for 20 years until her retirement.
Donna enjoyed going on drives with John. They often ended up fishing together at Yankton, Fort Randall, or Snyder Bend. She also enjoyed playing Pac-Man, baking, picnics, and of course, spending time with her family.
Donna is survived by her husband, John James of Sioux City; children, Brian (Samantha) Ostrander, Brett Rockwell, and Trish Rockwell; step-children, Heather James, Jeremy (Lisa) James, and Jesse (Stephanie) James; siblings, Tammy (Bill) Schlachter, Terry (Dottie) Brown, Rick (Jen) Brown, Brad Brown, and Brad Morgan; grandchildren, Tony James, Terry Baier, Joseph Petrik, Brittany Rockwell, Trevor Rockwell II, Thomas Rockwell, Zoey Rockwell, Zada Rockwell, Brooke (Adam) Schucker, Brianne Ostrander, Alexus Ostrander, Mia Ostrander, Carter Ostrander, Cooper Ostrander, Elizabeth Fitzwater, and Abigail James; and great-grandchildren, Tucker and Teagan Schucker, Lillian Page, and Ophelia and Onyx James.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, David and Trevor.
