Donna Carroll King

Donna Carroll King, 86, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026. Donna was born on August 3, 1939, in Huntington West Virginia, to Harold and Marceline (Carroll) Beuhring. She spent many years working in sales at JCPenney and was also a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work. Donna was the devoted mother of Bruce Allen McKeand.

In her youth, Donna attended Shoals Baptist Church in Lavalette, West Virginia. At the age of 13, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized-a faith she carried with her and leaned on throughout her entire life.

Donna was known for her independent spirit and strong work ethic. She love spending time fishing and hunting, tending to her garden, sewing, and crocheting. Her family affectionately considered her the "Queen of DIY." Even into her later years it was not unusual to find Donna climbing a ladder or even on the roof at age 85, fixing whatever needed to be repaired.

She is survived by her son, Bruce Allen McKeand and daughter-in-law Kim McKeand; her grandchildren, Jarrett Dunbar, Nicole Wakeling, and Brandon McKeand; and her great-grandchildren, Lukas Dunbar, Makayla Dunbar, Finley Wakeling, and Seren Parks.

Donna is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry King; her parent, Harold and Marceline Beuhring; and her brothers Jim and Larry Beuhring.

She was also especially fond of her dear friends Peggy Ferguson and "Z" Lawson, whose friendship meant so much to her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 15 from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Cotner Funeral home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
