Donna M. Kocan

Donna Marie Kocan (nee Marich) age 77, of Hartford, Wisconsin, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at her home.
Donna was born on July 18, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to her parents, John and Margaret (nee Horlacher) Marich. She graduated from Rufus King High School in Milwaukee and then IBM Business School in Milwaukee. Donna worked at AO Smith after graduating from the business school. Later on, once her kids were older, she worked at Allenton Elementary in the Lunchroom and loved working with the kids every day.
Donna was united in marriage to Daniel M. Kocan on October 14, 1967. Donna was obsessed with cleaning and keeping things in order, loved cooking, casino trips with her best friend Marge, traveling to the Wautoma area with her husband to their cabin, the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, and most of all loved time with her family. She loved shopping or being in a conversation, sometimes lasting hours, with family members and good friends and could out talk the best of us.
Donna is survived by her husband of 57 years, Daniel "Danny", loving daughters, Danielle Marie Kocan; Dana Michelle Theusch (Allen); dear sons, Donnie Mac Kocan (Kelly), Daniel Michael Thomas (Angela), Eight grandchildren Lacey Kocan, Morgan (Kyle) Cravens, Taylor (Kenneth "Wade") Taylor, Peyton Theusch, Emma, and Max Kocan, Barbara (Robert "Robbie") Evans, and Rachel Thomas, and six great grandchildren, Layla (Zachary) Amsden, Arie Stoker, Brantley, Kenley, Jack Taylor and Lily Evans. Donna had a brother and sister, John Marich, and Sherri Magdic, and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Robert) Walczak. She is further survived by many loved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents and parents-in-law, Maximillian and Anita Kocan, a brother-in-law, a son-in-law, and a brother at birth.
A celebration of life is being planned at a later date.
