Donna Leigh Langley

Donna Leigh Langley, 78, passed away December 29, 2025. She was born September 6, 1947. Donna grew up in Edgecombe County along with her three sisters. She graduated from West Edgecombe High School in 1965 and then went on to study at Hardbarger Business College in Raleigh, NC. She worked her early years in Raleigh and met her husband Earl when she returned to Rocky Mount in 1969. Donna and Earl were married in 1970 and welcomed their son, David, in 1974. During her career, she worked for the Pearsalls Operating company, Phillips Fibers, and Nash County before supporting the family farming business full time. She enjoyed crafting and gardening in her free time, volunteering at her church, and doing everything she could to help those around her, especially her friends and family. She took great pride and joy in her roles as a Sunday school teacher and a loving Grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her father, John Robert Taylor, and her mother Mary Williams Taylor; her sister's Mary Elizabeth Taylor, and Charlotte Elaine Searcy. Surviving is her husband Earl Langley, son David Langley (Kristin); sister, Carolyn L Wilson (Ron); niece and nephews, Rhonda Webb, Vann Webb, Bobby Searcy and Keith Whitley; and her grandsons Colin, Jackson, Mason and Silas and special friends Lori Liverman and Brenda Eubanks, all whom she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with service following at 2:00pm in the chapel. The burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
