Lascelle, Donna L.
Of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026, at home surrounded by her family after a courageous struggle with illness. She was born in Niagara Falls NY, on March 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Edward and Jane (Hudson) Hartsell. Upon graduating from Niagara Falls High School, Donna started a life career as a secretary with Carborundum Company and Unifrax retiring after 50 years as an executive secretary. During her years of service Donna received several awards for outstanding service and friends for life. She dedicated her life to others donating her time with many organizations including Hanci, Big Brothers and Sisters of Niagara County, Youth Mentoring Services, Cataract Elementary School, American Red Cross, Christmas for others of Niagara County, organizing Kids Day Paper drive, United Way, Niagara County SPCA just to name a few. Anyone that knew Donna knows that she always had a kind word and big heart for all and a constant smile on her face. She loved all animals, going to bingo and most of all enjoying time with family and friends. In 1969 Donna married the love of her life for 57 years to Ronald R. Lascelle, she is also survived by her son Shawn E. Lascelle, a sister Claudia L. (Louis Daurizio) Beane, half-sister of Barbara Wilson and Michael Wilson, also several nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. Donna was sadly predeceased by her sister's Patricia Myers-Heichel and Carolyn Corp. There will be no prior visitation. "A Celebration of Donna's Life" will be held at the Brickyard Brewing Company, on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 12 to 4 pm. The family would like to thank Niagara Hospice for all there excellent care and nursing staff.
