Donna Marie Loop, age 75, formerly of McCook, Nebraska, passed away at home in Angleton, Texas on December 20, 2024.
Donna was born November 22, 1949, in Stratton, Nebraska to Dale and Elsa Potter. Donna married Roger Loop in Stratton, Nebraska on June 4, 1967, and they were married for 50 years until Roger died in 2017. Roger and Donna were the proud parents of three daughters; Lisa, Monica and Darcy. The family made their home in McCook, Nebraska where Donna worked as a manager for Alco for over 30 years, until it closed in 2015.
Donna loved spending time with her family most of all, but she also enjoyed golf, bowling, reading, pool league, annual trips to Las Vegas and to the National Western Livestock Show & Rodeo in Denver, coffee with friends, happy hour with friends, and a winning slot machine.
Donna was preceded in death by the love of her life, Roger, as well as her parents, Dale and Elsa Potter, in-laws, Bill and Dorothy Loop, and Dana Frakes.
Donna is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Brad) Hageman of Akron, Colorado, Monica (Rick) Casiano, and Darcy (Robert) Patterson of Angleton, Texas; sisters, Kareon Miles, and Norma (Tony) Lammel; brother, Randy (Shelly) Potter; brothers-in-law, Gary (Beth) Loop, Gale (Becky) Loop, and Rich Frakes; and, sister-in-law, Rita (Chic) Reiman. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kori (Neil) Hays, Kyle (Lyndsey) Michaelis, Dillon Michaelis, Danae Michaelis (Trevor Weisgerber), Olivia (Toby) DeLeon, Abbie Casiano (Joey Farina), Marcas (Chessney) Eckhardt and Brandan Eckhardt, great grandchildren, Emmarie Hays, Vale Michaelis, Stetson DeLeon and Shiloh DeLeon, step-grandchildren, Preston, Tayler, and Brooke Patterson, and step-great-grandchildren, Kingsten, Layten, Daxten, Sutten, and Parker, nieces and nephews, a host of close friends, and most importantly, her beloved sidekick, Sophie.
Donna and family would like to thank Dr. Ethan Burns and Dr. Akhil Mehta at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas for their exceptional care and treatment of Donna, not just medically, but personally.
