Donna Mae Gibson Harris, age 91 years, a resident of the Crystal Springs Community, Elkins, WV departed this life late Friday evening, November 14, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of WV Caring.
She was born Thursday, May 31, 1934 at Huttonsville, WV a daughter of the late Carney Walter Gibson and Lou Louise Hamrick Gibson. On May 9, 1951 at Oakland, MD she was married to Nelson A. Harris, who preceded her in death June 1, 2003. Surviving are five sons, Kenneth N. Harris and wife Debbie of Elkins, Dennis A. Harris and wife Helen of Hambleton, Bradford L. Harris and wife Paula of Gilman, Danny W. Harris and wife Regina of Kerens, Benny Joe Harris and wife Michelle of Elkins; three daughters, Eileen L. Holliday of Elkins, Eloise S. Kelly and husband Jerry of Beverly, Kimberly A. Mole and husband Donnie of elkins; one brother, James Harris and wife Janet of OH; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren and a few on the way.
Preceding her in death are one infant son, Andrew Harris; one brother, Boyd Harris; four sisters, Frances Simmons, Freda Snelson, Eldora Ford, and Doralene Herring; and one son in law, John W. Holliday, Jr..
She attended the schools of Randolph County, had worked at the Coach n Four, Bowers Exxon, Valley Market and K-Mart from which she retired. She was a member of the Crystal Springs Community Church. Her family meant everything to her and in her eyes, the grandchildren could do no wrong. She loved camping with her husband and going on car rides. She loved her family and she will be missed dearly.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the Brick Church Cemetery at Huttonsville, WV. The Reverend David Collins will officiate and interment will follow. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Randolph County Humane Society, P. O. Box 785, Elkins, WV 26241 or to the Crystal Springs Community Church, 602 Harris Street, Elkins, WV 26241.
