Donna M. Martin, 76, of Hamburg, passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Twp. She was the wife of David I. Martin. They were married June 23, 1979 and celebrated 45 years of marriage.
Born in Trenton, NJ, he was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Schultz) Hirst. She graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1966; received her Bachelor's Degree from Muhlenberg College in 1970; and later received her Master's Degree in Literature from Millersville University. Donna was a graphic artist at Kutztown Publishing; and had also been a teacher at Pace Institute, Reading; and RACC. Donna served as director of publications at Alvernia University in the early 1990s. She was very interested in politics on a national level; animal rights; and enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku. She enjoyed supporting the ASPCA.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a sister: Ruth Anne (Schultz) Burns, Texas; a sister-in-law: Ruth Bensinger, Shoemakersville; and a brother-in-law: J. Werley Martin, Bloomsburg. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Inurnment will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Twp. Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., Hamburg is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, please visit www.leibenspergerfuneralhomes.com
