Donna Kay Matchett, 75, of North Little Rock passed away November 27, 2022. Donna was born August 11, 1947 to Harold Velvin and Dortha Cox Velvin. She spent the vast majority of her life in North Little Rock, but also lived for a few years in Hawaii during the early 70s. She was especially proud to have attended the Elvis show that was recorded for Aloha from Hawaii. She worked as a bail bondsman for 46 years and many individuals in Arkansas were familiar with the owner and proprietor of Donna's Bail Bonds. A fiery and tough woman, she lived her life out loud and unapologetically. She will be remembered by her many friends and colleagues for her sense of style and boisterous personality. Donna was preceded in death by parents, her husband John Raymond Matchett and her daughter Alesha Kay Matchett. She is survived by her son Jim Matchett (Stacey); stepson David Matchett (Rhonda); stepdaughters PJ Foran and Vickie Johnson; grandsons Jimmy Matchett (Shannon), Matt Matchett (Megan), Matisse Matchett and Luke Matchett; granddaughters Misty Johnson, Ashley Moye, Tory Standridge, Summer Craig, and Lila Matchett; numerous great grandchildren, and extended family members. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home Reception Hall. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow at the VFW Post 1174 located at 4400 Lynn Lane, North Little Rock, AR, 72118.

You will always be loved and definitely missed. I will miss you holding your hand out to me and saying I love you. And telling me I always look so pretty even when I looked like crap. And all the times we would sing karaoke together. Last but not least the little look you would give to someone who said something to you that you didn't like or thought that they were full of BS. I'm so glad to have known you, you are a true legend.
