Donna Mikels Obituary
Donna was married to Robert G. Mikels on September 10, 1938 in Lafayette, and he preceded her in passing on December 17, 2005. She spent most of her life working in a factory. When she was not working, Donna enjoyed gardening her flowers, camping, and playing Bingo. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Good Sam Club. Her family always looked forward to the cookies and candy that they would all make together during the Christmas season. After she retired, Donna enjoyed spending her winters in Florida.
Donna is survived by her children; Rosalie Gray, Jerry (Judy) Mikels, Kenneth (Cheryl) Mikels, Marilyn Mikels and daughter in law Connie Mikels. She also leaves 26 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 75 great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents and husband - Bob, Donna was preceded in passing by her daughter; Shirley Pattengale, son; William Mikels; son in laws; Raymond Gray and Bobby Taylor, three sisters; Opal, Edna and Midge, one granddaughter, three grandsons, two great-great granddaughters, and one great-great grandson.
There will be a Visitation for Donna held at Hippensteel Funeral Home on Thursday, December 12th from 5-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Friday, December 13th at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the 40 & 8 Child Welfare Program.
