Donna Pocock Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Plainville Funeral Home - Plainville on Dec. 15, 2025.
Donna Jean (Morelli) Pocock, 78, of Plantsville, passed away on Thursday December 11, 2025. Donna was a devoted mother and a warm presence in the lives of those who knew her.

Born on May 23, 1947, and raised and educated in Southington, she was one of seven children to the late Vincent and Josephine (Kroll) Morelli. A dedicated Registered Nurse since 1982, she cared for patients with compassion and professionalism until her retirement. Her greatest joys were found in the comforts of her home, in quiet moments with her family and in caring for the small things that mattered most to her, especially her beloved turtle, affectionately named "Hurtle", who brought her much joy and whom she cared for with patience and tenderness.

She is survived by her two loving sons, Kenneth V. Pocock and Edward S. Pocock, III; four cherished grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; her brother, Jim Morelli; and many nieces, nephews extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her three sisters and two brothers.

Donna will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, her deep loyalty to her family, and the small, everyday ways that she made life brighter for those around her.

Honoring her wishes, her family will celebrate her life with private services. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to Donna's family for their trust. For online expressions of sympathy, please visit www.PlainvilleFuneralHome.com
