Donna Riggs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stephens-Key Funeral & Cremation Care - Pryor on Jan. 28, 2026.
Donna Kay (Wheatley) Riggs, 85, of Chouteau, Oklahoma passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Canoe Brook Assisted Living in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

Donna was born on April 13, 1940 to Richard and Orpha (Hild) Wheatley in Cherryvale, Kansas. Donna graduated from McCune High School in 1958, where she met the love of her life, Calvin Jay Riggs. She and Calvin were married on November 15, 1959. They were married for 63 years. She was a loving and devoted wife.

Their daughter, Machell, and son, Chris, were blessed to have Donna as their mom. Donna was a loving and supportive mom who was always there when they needed her. She was also a wonderful "Momo" to her grandchildren and loved them dearly.

In her spare time, she loved to garden, sew, crochet and cross stitch.

Donna loved the Lord and served him faithfully and that was reflected in the way she lived her life. She was loving and kind to all who knew her and she always had a smile on her face. One of the most prominent qualities of her and her husband, Calvin, was their love for others and their servant hearts. They helped and supported so many families and friends throughout their marriage.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin; one sister, Jeanette Bolden and one brother, Charlie Wheatley.

She is survived by her daughter, Machell Hastings and husband Raynard; her son, Chris Riggs; and two grandchildren, Thomas Hastings and wife Tailor and Rachel Hastings.

After Calvin passed away, Donna missed him so much and looked for him every day. She has now found him now and they can spend eternity together.

Donna Kay was my first cousin and we had so much fun when she would come to stay with us at out farm and I would go to theirs. So sorry for her loss. My sympathies and prayers to her kids and grandkids. Love you Donna.
