Donna M. Roll, 85, of Clarksburg, died at 8:55 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on Sunday, February 19, 1939, in Ross County, a daughter of the late Paul Queen and Betty Godden Queen Junk. On December 20, 1959, she married Otto M. Roll, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Otto, their children: Beth (Alan) Dill of Ashville, Lori Roll of Clarksburg, Andy Roll of Hilliard and Chad (Amanda) Roll of Urbana, eight grandchildren: Ashley (Kevin) Kelley of Ashville, Tyler Withers of Lancaster, Lexie (Clint) Roush of Frankfort, Jenna Martin of Clarksburg, Erica Poston and Andrea Roll both of Lancaster, Olivia (Brandon) Storer of Dayton and Hannah Roll of Urbana, ten great-grandchildren: Landon, Grady and Annie Kelley, Alaina Arnold, Carson Roush, Atlas Hartshorn, Morrow Storer, Hayden, Jaice and Graham Welch, one sister: Cindy (Mike) Francis of Frankfort and one brother: Joe Junk of Frankfort. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and one beloved brother, Don Queen.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Frankfort High School. For almost 20 years, she worked at Mallow Fur and Clothing Company. Donna along with Otto operated the Rolling Acres Kennels where they raised St. Bernards and Newfoundland dogs. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan. Donna was part of a club formed in high school known as "The Crumbs" who remained good friends to this day. She also took part in a local card club for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025, in the EBRIGHT FUNERAL HOME, Frankfort. Following the service, Donna will be laid to rest in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Family and friends can visit with Donna's family on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 6 p.m., In lieu of flowers, Donna's family asks that you remember her love of animals and donate to the Ross County Humane Society, 2308A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
