Donna Lee Stanley

Ava, Missouri

Donna Lee Stanley, 88 years, 7 months, 21 days old, passed away on January 17, 2026, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri.

Donna was born May 26, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan to Staley and Winifred (White) Sharer.

She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints in Independence, Missouri, and was an organist for the church. She worked as a dispatcher for the Independence Police Department.

Donna and Hollis Stanley were united in marriage, and together they enjoyed traveling, training horses and K-9 dogs for the Independence Police Department. She was the ultimate Kansas City Chiefs fan and knew stats, plays, and individual players better than anyone. Donna was a people person and made many friends in the nursing home. She was lovingly known as the Cookie Monster because she enjoyed cookies and McDonald's milk shakes. She was loved by all who knew her.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Hollis.

Donna is survived by her daughter Jeanette and Mark Argall; her grandchildren, Meredith Ann Argall of Joplin, Jessica Lynn and Jared Aisen of Smyrna, Gerogia, and Dillon Argall of Ava; her sister, Joan Sprague Of Los Altos, California; extended family and many friends.
