Donna Sue Stewart Love, 75, Resident of Columbia, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Aaron Menard Officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday May 7, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home.
Donna was born on June 19, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Charles Thomas Stewart and the late Brownie Ruth Fields Stewart. She was raised in TOH with her grandmother Ova Irene Cantrell Fields with her siblings. She married William C. Love Jr. and had 3 beautiful children. Donna loved to teach children about the word of God. She was proud of her family and loved all of her TOH brothers and sisters. Donna touched and helped a lot of people in her life and never asked for anything in return. She was a member of the TOH Alumna and worked for the Children’s Home where she loved and cared for children in need. Donna owned a daycare for nine years and worked hard to make a difference in their lives. She was simply loved by the people that knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Deonna (Steve) Phillips: sons, Jimmy (Sharon) Love, and Chris Love: grandchildren, Cruz (Erica) Philips, Hayden (Alex) Love, and Hunter Love: great-grandchildren, Milla Marcrom, Wesson Marcrom, and Baby Boy Love; brothers, Jim “Skippy” (Shirley) Stewart, Frank Stewart; sisters, Miriam Lawson, Vickie Beech, and Jackie West; So many cousins, so many friends, so many children that had children, who loved their Aunt Donna (Maw Maw). She was our sister, friend, confidant, secret keeper, and great advice giver.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband William C. Love Jr. and grandson Dylan Marcrom.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Love, Hunter Love, Robbie Sims, Anthony Sims, Marquan Johnson, and Cruz Phillips
