Dear Ron,
Many years ago (1991, to be exact), you and Donna welcomed my then-fiance Gregg Potter and me into your home for a personal Catholic marriage preparation program through St. Brigid parish. We had a workbook - which we, and you two, both thought at times was better suited to two eighteen year olds preparing for marriage - and you gamely adapted its messages and worksheets to our situation, two first timers in our thirties with professional careers. We had a wonderful time with you and good talks, learning a surprising amount about marriage and parenting, and as both of us recall, laughing a lot. We still tell the story of an exercise where we separated by gender to discuss how much each of us thought our future spouse should be able to spend without getting the okay from the other. I said $300, which Donna thought reasonable. You and Gregg returned to your kitchen and you said to Gregg, "Tell Donna what number you came up with." Gregg said $50. Donna's eyes twinkled as she told him, "I guess you'll be grocery shopping with Mary and going to the hair salon with her, too."
After the course ended, we enjoyed a lovely Scotch with you, our glasses filled so generously that we to this day refer to a generous pour of whiskey as "a Ron and Donna."
The example you two set for us (not just in the dosing of liquor!) proved to be a wonderful start to our marriage. We've never forgotten you and Donna and many of your words of wisdom, including about parenting. We will celebrate 33 years of marriage on November 30, and last month saw our daughter Gracie blow out the candles on her 29th birthday cake.
This is a long-belated thank you, Ron, for the wonderful gift of you and Donna. Gregg and I are so sorry she's gone and send you and your family our condolences. We will never forget either of you and your contribution to our happiness.
All the best,
Mary Terzino

Dear Ron and David,
We are so saddened by the passing of our dear friend. John and I made friends with Ron and Donna over 10 years ago. We would get together with other friends and go out to eat, visit one another, and socialize with an afternoon cocktail. I knew how much pain you were in especially the last 4 months. I loved our visits and phone calls. You would go out of your way to call us even if it was just to say hello. I will miss those chats. Donna would surprise us with her hand made dish cloths. I will treasure them knowing that they came from you! Donna was such a classy lady, always had a smile on her face. We sure had fun and we shared so many laughs. Sending our deepest sympathy to your family. Donna you are now free from pain and suffering and enjoying Heaven with all of your friends, relatives, and your son Jeff. May the angels welcome you to paradise and we will see you again. You will be missed by everyone who knew her. Sending our love and Rest In Peace my friend!

Sallie and I are saddened by Donna´s passing. We remember her warm smile and gentle demeanor. Oh how we miss our loved ones. Our condolences and prayers follow you, Ron, and David. May you experience peace knowing that Donna is in the arms of Jesus. Since we are now living in Ohio we regret not attending a time to celebrate her life.
