Donna Jeanne Tucker (Plank), 79, of Rochester, Illinois, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2025. Born on August 27, 1946, Donna was a devoted mother to her daughters, Stacy Tucker and Marcy Tucker, son-in-law Brian Blough and grandson Jakob Blough.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Tucker, with whom she shared 54 wonderful years of love and companionship. She is survived by her loving sisters, Linda (Dale) Pittman and Rosemary (Gary) Hulett, and by many nieces and nephews who dearly loved her.
Donna retired from the University of Illinois at Springfield, where she dedicated over thirty years of service. She was known for her strong work ethic, warmth, and kindness toward her colleagues and students alike.
Outside of work, Donna had a lifelong love of sewing and quilting, creating beautiful pieces that brought warmth and comfort to others. She was a proud member of Project Linus, where she shared her talents to make blankets for children in need. She was also a lifelong member of South Fork Church, where she found joy, faith, and fellowship among her church family.
An avid gardener, Donna loved spending time in her garden, tending to her flowers and plants with the same care and patience she showed to those around her. Her kindness, creativity, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester, Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Project Linus in Donna's memory as well as South Fork Church in Rochester, Illinois.
She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
