Donna Rae Vanek, 78, October 29, 2018, lifetime resident of the south west of Chicago-Scottsdale neighborhood, dearly beloved life companion of 50 years to the late John Delgado; also preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Irene L. Bartgen Vanek ; and one sister, Karen Susan Vanek; dear cousin of many, including those to whom she was "their sister and aunt," including John (Mary) Bartgen, C.F.D. retired, Ronald Bartgen, and William (Christine) Bartgen, C.F.D. retired. Donna worked for 35 years as a civilian employee of the U.S. Army. Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, on Friday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m., until Funeral Service at 12 Noon.
