Donna Vera Obituary
Donna was born on March 1, 1958, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Thomas and Shirlee Reed.
She worked for many years as a cook at the Horace Porter School in Columbia, CT, where she was known for her warm spirit and dedication. Outside of work, Donna found great joy in caring for animals, planting flowers, baking cookies with her grandchildren, and running New England Sheltie Rescue. She was also a proud and active member of the New England Shetland Sheepdog Club, where she built many friendships and supported the breed she loved.
Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Donna is survived by her daughter Jennifer Neumann and her husband Harry; her sons James and his spouse Jenn, Ken and his wife Aimee; her many grandchildren; her ex-husband Robert Vera; and many extended family members and friends.
Cremation services have been entrusted to Dougherty Brothers Funeral Home in Plainfield, CT.
Memorial donations in Donna's name may be made to Shriners Hospital
