Donna Hamlet Ward, 80, of Lynchburg, VA passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1945, in Lafayette, Kentucky to the late James Hamlet and Frances Hicks Hamlet.
Donna attended E.C. Glass High School. She worked for many years as a Bank Teller. She was a member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Donna enjoyed bird watching, desserts (especially chocolate), spending time with her granddaughter, and watching PBS. Donna’s faith was very important to her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Mickley and husband, Joshua; granddaughter, Mia Mickley; brother, Steve Hamlet and wife, Rhonda; sister, Sandra Wright and husband, Bruce and special friends, Jean Gregory and Chris Fowler.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Charmaine Bedlow for the special care that she gave Donna.
A service will be held at a later date.
