Donna Kerry Wasson

Donna Kerry Wasson, age 99, dearly loved by her family and friends, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at her caregiver's home in Worthington, Ohio.
Born in Canton, Ohio, on November 15, 1922, she is the daughter of the late Thomas and Bessie (Richards) Kerry. She was a graduate of McKinley High School, class of 1940, and The Ohio State University, class of 1944, with a Bachelor of Science in social work.
Donna lived a full life overflowing with laughter. She was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling, working for the well-being of children, and volunteering at the Ohio State University Medical Center. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. Donna had a wonderful sense of humor which she shared generously with others and through her adventurous play with children.
Donna is preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Gladys Nist, Evelyn Rinehart, and Elsie Adair; and her grandson, Christopher Wasson. She is survived by her children, Janet Wasson of Delmar, Maryland, William Wasson (Bobbe) of Obetz, Ohio, Carolyn, and Kasey Wasson (Lori) of Pickerington, Ohio; grandsons, Andrew Wasson (Jessica) of Worthington, Ohio, and Benjamin Wasson of Columbus, Ohio; nieces and nephews; and her dear caregiver, Steven Luzier.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 23, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Shaw-Davis Funeral Home (Clintonville) at 4341 N. High St., Columbus, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Donna's memory be made to the Ohio Domestic Violence Network and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
